2. REQUIREMENTS FOR ACADEMIC POSITIONS
a. Associate Professor (CONUASS 06)
i. Candidate for position of Associate Professor must possess a Ph.D. in any of the areas of specialization where vacancy exists.
ii. Candidate must have a minimum of twenty (20) publications in recognized journals of local and international repute.
iii. Candidate must have been Senior Lecturer for a minimum of five (5) years before the date of publication.
iv. Candidate must have eight (8) years post-doctoral teaching and research experience in a university system or relevant institution.
v. Candidate must possess administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.
b. Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05)
i. Candidate for position of Senior Lecturer must possess a Ph.D. in any of the areas of specialization where vacancy exists.
ii. Candidate must have a minimum of fifteen (15) publications in recognized journals of local and international repute.
iii. Candidate must have been Lecturer I for a minimum of three (3) years before the date of publication.
iv. Candidate must have six (6) years postdoctoral teaching and research experience in a university system or relevant institution.
c. Lecturer I (CONUASS 04)
i. Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in any of the areas of specialization where vacancy exists.
ii. Candidate must have a minimum of five (5) publications in recognized journals of local and international repute.
iii. Candidate must have been Lecturer II for a minimum of three (3) years before the date of publication.
iv. Candidate must have three (3) years post-doctoral teaching and research experience in a university system or relevant institution.
D. Lecturer II (CONUASS 03)
i. Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in any of the areas of specialization where vacancy exists.
ii. Candidate must have a minimum of two (2) publications in recognized journals.
e. Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS 02)
i. Candidate for position of Assistant Lecturer must possess a good Master’s degree and must have commenced a Ph.D. programme in any of the areas of specialization where vacancy exists.
f. Librarian I (CONUASS 04)
Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Library Science or related field with at least three (3) years post-qualification experience. Scholarly publications will enhance prospects.
g. Librarian II (CONUASS 03)
Candidate must possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science or related field with at least six (6) years of cognate experience plus adequate scholarly publications. Computer knowledge is essential.
h. Librarian (CONUASS 02)
Candidate must possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science or related field. Computer knowledge is essential.
i. Assistant Librarian (CONUASS 01)
Candidate must possess a good Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Lower Division minimum) in Library Science or other related field with a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience. Computer knowledge is essential.

A. REGISTRY STAFF
● Assistant Registrar (CONTISS 09)
Candidate must possess a good honours degree (Second Class Lower Division minimum) from a recognized university. Possession of SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O’Level credits in five subjects including English Language plus at least six (6) years post qualification experience in the university system or relevant institution.
● Administrative Officer I (CONTISS 08)
Good honours degree (Second Class Lower Division minimum) plus NYSC certificate and relevant experience.
●Administrative Officer II (CONTISS 07)
Good honours degree (Second Class Lower Division minimum) and possession of SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O’Level credits in five subjects including English Language.
● Senior Assistant Registrar, Legal (CONTISS 11)
LL.B with NYSC discharge certificate plus at least nine (9) years cognate post qualification experience. Possession of postgraduate degree/professional certification may be an advantage.
● Administrative Officer II, Legal (CONTISS 08)
LL.B with NYSC discharge certificate plus two (2) years post qualification experience.
● Senior Executive Officer, Registry (CONTISS 06)
HND with minimum of five (5) years relevant experience or holder of relevant professional certificate plus NYSC.
